Published in Press Releases by Tavistock Relationships on August 1st 2026
On Sunday 27 September 2026 there will be a charity football mini tournament to help raise funds for Tavistock Relationships, the couple and family relationships charity.
The event titled the ‘Sigmund Freud Challenge Cup’ will include matches between the professional body the British Psychoanalytic Association, The Brent Centre who provide therapy and emotional support for adolescents and young adults, Nightingale Hospital which provides consultation and treatment programmes to support mental health, and Tavistock Relationships.
TR Chief Executive Andrew Balfour said:
“The couples and families we work with are currently facing many challenges. Support through initiatives like this great event not only help raise the vital funds we need to do our work but create an opportunity for friends, family, clinical colleagues and the public to enjoy a great day out together, building the bonds of community.”
The event which has been organised by David Polak will take place at St Charles Square, W10 6EY from 10am-12pm.
David said:
“TR provides essential support to individuals and couples facing relationship difficulties, helping them find hope and healing during tough times. Relationships can be complex, and many people struggle silently without the help they need. Tavistock Relationships offers vital counselling services.”
As part of the fundraising there will be a £15 per player entry fee, and donations from spectators and others to support TR can also be made at David Polak’s Just Giving page: https://www.justgiving.com/page/david-polak-2
