Who we are:
Tavistock Relationships has been helping individuals, couples and families since 1948, and now provides therapy sessions to many thousands of individuals and couples every year, online and in person. An overview of our activities can be found in our Annual Impact Report for 2024/25 and website.
About the role
What are we looking for?
- Trustees should have a proven track record of excellent leadership skills, good communication and interpersonal skills as well as a willingness to devote the necessary time and effort to the role .
- Trustees contribute to setting vision, values, mission, strategy and high-level policy in accordance with charity regulations and the governing document. As the organisation undergoes a period of change, the ability to hold a strategic vision in line with TR’s charitable mission is important, as is the understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities, and liabilities of the role.
- We are looking for someone with who can contribute to an open and inclusive culture, and act with impartiality, fairness, and the ability to respect confidences. A willingness to speak their mind with tact and diplomacy and as well as hear and consider the opinions of others.
Desired Skills and Experience
We are seeking to appoint new Trustees with substantial strategic leadership and governance experience to join our organisation. We are particularly looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals with strong accounting and financial expertise, as well as experience in digital communications, IT, fundraising and/or specialist therapeutic practice.
